Sendai, Honshu, Japan - A major 7.2 earthquake has struck off the northeast coast of Honshu, damage on the mainland is not expected, a small tsunami was generated.

Damage – Damage is not expected.

Aftershocks of greater than 6.0 are expected for the next 72 hours.
