At 6:30 pm CST [5:00 pm WST], Tropical Low (995 hPa) located at 13.8S 129.3E has 10 minute sustained winds of 30 knots with gusts of 45 knots. The low was estimated to be 50 kms north northwest of Port Keats and 225 kms northeast of Wyndham and moving south southwest at 4 knots.
The Tropical Low is located off the coast and may develop into a TROPICAL CYCLONE on Tuesday morning in the southern Joseph Bonaparte Gulf if it moves further offshore.
GALES with gusts to 100 km/h may develop on the coast between Kalumburu and Daly River Mouth during Tuesday.
HEAVY RAIN, which may cause significant stream rises and flooding of low lying areas, is expected in the east Kimberley region and the western Top End, extending into the northern Victoria River District later on Tuesday.
